RESP Grant Maximizer
It is never too late to start saving for your child’s education! And thanks to the various Canadian government grants, meeting your savings goals are a whole lot easier.
“Our daughter Nicole is 8 years old and we have been saving with an RESP since she was 3. When we used the RESP Grant Maximizer, we were surprised to learn that by saving just a little bit more each year, she could receive the full $7,200 in CESG. Now we are very motivated to make regular contributions until she turns 17!”– Joanne, mother of two (ages 8 and 13)
Take advantage of the Canada Education Savings Grant
The Canada Education Savings Grant (CESG) is a government program that contributes 20% for every dollar you invest in your child’s RESP up to a maximum of $500 per year!
If you didn’t maximize your annual contribution amount and receive the maximum CESG the good news is it’s retroactive. You can catch up by making additional contributions up until the end of the calendar year in which the child turns 17 years old.
Calculate your child’s CESG
So, just how much is your child entitled to, and how can you get the maximum benefits? We created this handy tool to help you out — enter the RESP Grant Maximizer calculator. The calculation is based on your child’s age and all RESP contributions made to date. It is the only one we know of that helps parents determine how to maximize their contributions and learn just how much their child is entitled to.
Every dollar contributed by the government is one less dollar parents need to invest out of pocket and every little bit helps when it comes to saving for a child’s post-secondary education. We invite you to give it a try! It’s free and easy to use; no contact information necessary. MAXIMIZE YOUR RESP TODAY!
