SuccessStory: Rebecca Hinds
“Without Knowledge First, I would certainly be a different person today”
– Rebecca Hinds
Thanks to her maternal grandparents, Rebecca Hinds was able to pursue post-secondary education at California’s Stanford University, as well as several extra-curricular activities she wouldn’t otherwise have been able to afford. She remembered them when accepting the Arnold Edinborough Award, which will help fund her postgraduate studies in Management Science and Engineering.
“Although they both recently passed, they are very much here today,” said Rebecca. “Today is a testament to them and to all our supporters who recognized the importance of investing early in our educations.”
During her time at Stanford, Rebecca has been able to travel across the U.S. with the varsity swim team, become a research assistant, help start two new companies in New York and Boston, attend symposiums and conferences, and assume leadership and fellowship opportunities with Stanford Women in Business as well as the Kairos International Society of Student Entrepreneurs.
She says none of these opportunities would have been possible without her savings plan. “The financial support from Knowledge First Financial allowed me to discover my true passions and to shape the person I am today.”
